Our standard Generac maintenance service covers everything Generac recommends for annual upkeep. We inspect and test every major system component to make sure your generator will start and run reliably under load. During a tune-up, our technicians change the engine oil and filter, replace the air filter and spark plugs, inspect and test the battery, check fuel lines and connections, test the automatic transfer switch operation, inspect the cooling system and air intake, verify Mobile Link remote monitoring is functioning correctly, and run a full load test to confirm the unit performs at rated capacity. We also check for any error codes in the generator’s onboard diagnostic system and clear or address any active faults. Generac recommends annual maintenance for all home standby generators, or after every 200 hours of operation, whichever comes first. If your generator ran heavily during a storm or extended outage, it may need service sooner. Miele Electric Power keeps every generator customer on our annual service list and calls you when your maintenance is due, so you never have to think about scheduling.

What happens if I skip generator maintenance?

Skipping annual maintenance increases the risk of your generator failing to start or run properly during an actual outage.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. So far so good, but with an emergency generator, rubber meets the road when and if there is an issue and the response. However, everything Carl (owner) said he would do on installation and follow through went down just as he said it would. His people could not be nicer to deal with. What made me go with Miele Electric was the number of techs he has on staff. Other companies I priced out and had conversations with had 1-2 tech guys available which is huge when there could be an issue with my generator during a power outage.
Lastly, Miele was the only company of the 4 I entertained that the owner personally was involved from the get go. No leaving messages, getting put to an answering service, having to schedule the initial call weeks in advance, ect. Carl gave me his cell and had a written quote to me next day.
